HISTORY
Football Club Alton was formed in 2006 by Lee and Neil Pink. Both continue to play for the club and Lee has continued to double up his duties as First Team Manager. Jim Ginders has been FC Alton's Club Secretary since their debut campaign and Jamie Liddiard is Club Captain.
FC Alton entered the Aldershot & District Sunday Football League for the 2006/2007 season in the old Division Four earning promotion as Runners Up to York Road in a friendly rivalry which remains to this day. The expansion of the league system in 2007 saw the introduction of the Premiership and all leagues being renamed from Division One downwards. As such, FC Alton took their place in Division Two, (the third tier of Sunday Football), for the 2007/2008 season.
FCA consolidated their position and finished their second season in fourth place.
2008/2009 was when the magic happened though and in their third season, FC Alton secured their first league title (and first piece of silverware) by finishing top on goal difference.
The 2009/1010 season will see FC Alton playing in the second tier of Sunday Football for the first time in their history.
Despite their solid progress on the pitch and two promotions in three years, FCA's cup form has been disappointing with first round exits in the ADSFL Cup and failure to get no further than the Quarter Finals of the AFA Eric Holbrook Cup. There was no shame in the loss in the Fourth Round of their inaugural Hampshire Cup Campaign though, losing to eventual Champions, Basingstoke Saints.
COLD CONTROL CUP
The Cold Control Cup is an annual 6-a-side tournament hosted by FC Alton and open to local teams and guests. The tournament takes place in the first or second week in June and is followed by the team's end of season social and player awards.
FC Alton won the first ever Cold Control Cup in 2008.
SRIXON SHIELD
The Srixon Shield is an annual match between FC Alton and Four Marks, normally as part of both teams' pre-season preparations. FCA won the inaugural title in 2008 beating Four Marks 3 - 0.
FC ALTON RESERVES
FC Alton launched its first ever Reserve Team for the 2009/2010 season as the club continued to build upon its growing reputation. FC Alton Reserves will compete in the ADSFL Division Four.
