FC Alton will play their first game of the 2008/2009 season away to promoted Aldershot Wanderers. There is history between the two teams. In 2006/2007, FCA beat them 2-0 at home with goals by Matt Hall and Paul Fox and won 3-2 away with goals by Marcus Coles, Tom Cox and Phil Thomas. Those victories helped in our promotion campaign whilst AWFC finished fifth.

They came back strong last season and after a five game winning streak, won the ADSL Division Three to secure their promotion. Revenge will certainly be on their mind.

Our first home game of the campaign will be against long time rivals, York Road. In five matches against the 2006/2007 Champions, we still have yet to beat them and putting that right will have to be one of our targets this season.

The third match will be away to Manor Crusaders 'A' who at the time of writing i know very little about.
