FC Alton secured the league title, promotion and the first piece of silverware in their history at the third year of trying.
It all came down to the final game of the season when a 7 - 1 victory over Cove Manor, coupled with Athletico Fox's solitary goal victory over York Road, gave FCA the title they so desperately craved.
It was all a far cry from the start of the year when FCA made history by winning their first nine league fixtures. The wheels almost came off when several injuries factored into the team losing five out seven matches in March but it all came good in the end.
It was also FCA's first foray into the Hampshire Cup and they achieved a respectable finish by reaching the fourth round, losing to eventual winners Basingstoke Saints.
